Reading about T ZONE i discovered you don't want a surfactant because it can damage foliage as its mainly for roots, and Tenacity kills it from the other end down. The people in my area neglect their lawns and it takes 4 weeks for the tenacity to wipe out weeds. I wanted to speed this up without adding more tenacity or heavily soaking the area.

In early July-ish, do a weed-kill with 2-4-d or quinclorac, or tenacity. Then be ready to go by august with dethatching, aerating, etc so you have a good seed bed ready for overseeding. If you've got more than 5000ish square feet, rent a powered slit seeder from sunbelt. The scotts starter fertilizer with tenacity is great for overseeding.
